Overview
Brightcove offers a robust video platform that simplifies the delivery of video to every destination and device. The Brightcove app for Hootsuite enables you to view Brightcove videos as a source of content within Hootsuite. Users can select videos from Brightcove and schedule them for distribution to various social media platforms from Hootsuite via the Content Source and Stream components.
Requirements
Installation
From your Hootsuite dashboard, click on the Profile icon and "Install Hootsuite apps" to navigate to the Hootsuite App Directory.
Once the App Directory loads search for "Brightcove" in All Apps and click Install.

Install
After clicking Install, a new window will open where you can select to create a new tab or add a Brightcove stream to an existing Hootsuite tab.

Connect Brightcove Account
The Brightcove account must first be connected to the app. For detailed instructions on how to do this, see the User Guide for Managing API Credentials.
Usage
Now that the app is installed, if you are not already there, navigate to the stream that the Brightcove app was added to.
You will be taken to a screen with a link to login to Hootsuite. Follow the authorization process. Hootsuite Login is required for uploading videos and files to the Hootsuite Composer.

FAQ
Some videos not showing in app
When uploading videos to Brightcove, the ingest profile must include MP4 files.
How many videos / playlists will show up
100 vidoes / 1000 playlists. If you have more videos or playlists, you will have to use the search bar to have them show up.
Some videos not uploading to Hootsuite Composer
This could be caused by the file size limit (100MB). The upload may timeout as well if the file is very large.
Different Brightcove account showing
If you have multiple Brightcove accounts, make sure you are logged into the correct Brightcove account in your browser.
What criteria does the search bar search on
Videos / Playlsits: id, name, description, long description, tags, reference id, custom fields, custom field name

API Tokens
Any API Tokens this Service uses is only stored on your computer's browser. These tokens are encrypted before storing. Upon logging out of the Service, the tokens are removed from your browser. These tokens can also be revoked from the vendor providing them.
